Mr. Xiaobu Liu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Liu, 63, joined the Company in September 2010. Mr. Liu worked for Huaneng Group for 20 years. Huaneng Group is the largest power generation enterprise in China and is an early adopter of wind power with over 2,800MW of wind power capacity and plans to increase wind power capacity to 20,000MW by 2020. Mr. Liu was the team leader of Clean Development Mechanism (“CDM”) power projects with overall responsibility for new renewable energy developments and their submission for approval. Mr. Liu was also responsible for the construction of large thermal and medium-sized hydroelectric power projects and financial management related to projects in more than 20 provinces within China. Mr. Liu is experienced in large power project financing, infrastructure, financial management, price management and plant operations and management. In 2007 after a long successful career, Mr. Liu retired as the Vice President of Huaneng New Energy Industrial Co., a subsidiary of Huaneng Group, engaged in wind power generation. Mr. Liu received a degree in Chemistry from Beijing Institute of Education.

Mr. James Crane, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Crane, 34, joined the Company in June 2010. Mr. Crane resides in Shanghai, China. Mr. Crane is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts. Mr. Crane was employed by Ernst & Young LLP from 1999 through 2001. Since 2007, Mr. Crane has also served as CFO of Subaye, Inc., a Chinese company listed on the NASDAQ Global Market Stock Exchange in March 2010 while Mr. Crane was CFO. Mr. Crane also recently served as CFO of Longwei Petroleum Investment Holding Limited, a Chinese company listed on the NYSE Amex Stock Exchange in June 2010 when Mr. Crane was CFO. Mr. Crane subsequently resigned from his position with Longwei Petroleum. Mr. Crane has served as a consultant, officer or director for a variety of other U.S.-listed public companies.

Mr. Frank Wang, Senior Project Director

Mr. Wang, 34, joined the Company in September 2010. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Wang served as a site manager for Suzlon Energy Limited where his extensive experience included the supervision of the development of multiple wind farms in Inner Mongolia, China. At Suzlon, Mr. Wang was an integral part of the due diligence team for decisions around optimal site-design and the turbine selection process. Prior to Suzlon, Mr. Wang worked for BASF-YPC Limited where he spent 4 years as the project manager for multiple petrochemical related installations. Mr. Wang received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of the P.L.A.

Mr. Marcus Laun, Director

Mr. Laun, 42, is currently a senior banker at Wynston Hill Capital where he is responsible for all aspects of capital raising and advisory engagements for micro- and small-cap ventures. From 2004 through 2008, Mr. Laun held various senior positions at Knight Capital Group. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Laun was founder and CEO of Hype Inc. which controlled the exclusive rights to HYPE Energy Drink in North America. Prior to this, Mr. Laun was a vice president of corporate finance at Brean Murray & Co., Inc. and a research analyst at Greenwich High Yield LLC and Mendham Capital Group LLC. Mr. Laun received a Masters’ in Business Administration degree from Columbia University and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.

Mr. James Ping Xu, Director

Mr. Xu, 51, has 26 years of experience in the financial sector, including extensive familiarity with private equity and venture capital businesses, direct investments, accounting and auditing and investment banking services with top multinational and government organizations. From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Xu served as Managing Director and Chief Representative in Shanghai for H&Q Asia Pacific Limited.  From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Xu served as Corporate Finance Director and Head of China for HSBC Investment Bank Asia Limited. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Xu served as Vice President for J.P. Morgan Securities Asia Ltd. From 1989 to 1993, he served as an Audit Senior for KPMG Peat Marwick in London. From 1983 to 1985 and 1986 to 1989, Mr. Xu served as Division Chief for the Audit Administration of the People’s Republic of China. 

Mr. Cary Zhou, Advisory Board Member

Mr. Zhou is a senior partner with NewMargin Ventures ("NewMargin"), one of the first independent and professionally managed private equity fund management companies in China to undertake the management of both domestic and offshore funds. NewMargin currently has about $520 million under management and to-date has invested more than US$200 million in 65 companies. Of these, over 16 have gone public in domestic or international stock exchanges. NewMargin has been recognized as a "Top 10" venture capital firm in China by the China Venture Capital Forum almost every year since 2000. Over the years, Mr. Zhou has worked throughout China beginning with AT&T Bell Labs, followed by a move to Lucent Technology (China) resulting in his role as a VP, Sales & Marketing prior to his joining NewMargin in 2007.
